North Alabama Locksmiths' Association
The NALA is an association of professional locksmiths / security companies.  As part of the service industry to the public our concern is the promotion of credible and trustworthy companies that deal with mechanical and electronic access control. Alabama locksmiths are required to be licensed with the AESBL and undergo a FBI - Federal Bureau of Investigation and ABI - Alabama Bureau of Investigation background checks.  Furthermore, locksmith companies are required, by law, to meet annual continuing education requirements.  All of this is to protect the public against phony companies and con artists.  A legitimate company must have a current year photo I.D. Public Safety Announcement
A host of phony companies have come into existence and are taking advantage of Alabamians. Due to this increasing threat we are asking you to report these companies to the AESBL.  Alabama law requires all security companies (Locksmiths and Alarm technicians) doing business in Alabama to under go an FBI and ABI background check for your protection.  These phony companies prey on a customer's good will with slick looking highly professional Internet website's and phone book advertising. We strongly encourage you to click  HERE to see if their name is on the list.  Report all companies that seek to sell their services to you by contacting the  AESBL if they are not on the list.  For your protection refuse their services
